A canister vacuum is good for cleaning walls, curtains, ceiling fans, and because of its compact size great for stairs.

You can leave the canister vacuum on the floor as you clean, or you have the option of carrying the vacuum with you because of its size. If you have little to no storage space, this type of vacuum cleaner may be the best suited for you.
